The 22 year-old lass is actually an Information Technology student who wore the sash of Caloocan City (she is Miss Caloocan 2014 after all) during Miss Philippines Earth last summer. She did not win that one, but tried her luck in this marine-themed contest and fortunately came out #1.
There is extra pressure on Amanda’s plate because her predecessor – Christine Paula Bernasor – placed 1st Runner-up last year. Will she do one better and clinch the top spot this time around? We’ll see.
Good luck in Miss Scuba International 2014, girl! ;-)
