“Ikebana is the art of beautifully arranging cut stems, leaves, and flowers in vases and other containers that evolved in Japan over seven centuries.”

And this is what the Miss International 2014 contestants learned during yesterday’s activity. While not all of them have the creative hands to come up with wonderful arrangements, there were also the ones who were able to whip up very good results.

Everyone had smiles on their faces, though. Ikebana is such an interesting part of Japanese culture.

And flowers are surefire pleasers. ;-)
