“Congratulations!
Miss India Ruhi Singh was crowned at a press conference today at Beirut Lebanon for the year 2014!
Ruhi Singh of India is Miss Universal Peace & Humanity 2014.
Her runners up are Australia (Rebecca Boggiano) and Palestine (Sofia Alkhadra) .
P.s it was in a press conference due to unavoidable circumstances, the pageant for 2015 will be held next year in summer.”
I’m scratching my head in disappointment. And it’s not only because I have nothing to report about the participation of Miss Philippines Rosevemme Marie Fajardo. No pageant actually took place. It was just like an ordinary casting call where they shortlisted ten ladies (I cannot even confirm if our supposed bet made it to the group) flown in to Lebanon for the Press Conference and voila! Ruhi Singh was suddenly named winner with Australia’s Rebecca Boggiano and Palestine’s Sofia Alkhadra as runners-up.
The organizers quipped that “WE CHOSE WRONG COUNTRIES FOR OUR PAGEANT, THEY ARE MAKING JUST PROBLEMS , PRAY WE CAN HAVE IT ON THE TIME…………………………MUPHO” followed by “TOP TEN (10) GIRLS BEEN SELECTED TO COME TO LEBANON, FINALLY WE ARE HEADING TOWARDS OUR DREAM OF BEST PAGEANT IN THE WORLD……..MUPHO“
What is all of this?
The problem with some groups organizing small international pageants with big dreams is that their budget/financial resources are not catching up with the cost of the vision. And this is not looking good. At all. Tsk tsk tsk.
I’m not sure if I can give Ruhi Singh a truly sincere shout of “Congratulations!”. So let me just wish a good ounce of luck for her reign. May it all be worth the effort.
