Time to switch to high gear for Miss Philippines Valerie Weigmann. I made a conscious effort not to bombard you, dear readers, with repeated requests to download the Miss World App and go on a voting spree/campaign for her. But now more than ever is the best time to show your support for our representative in London.
Valerie’s exclusion in the Top 5 of the Multimedia Challenge hit us like a baseball bat on the face. And I’m still in the dark as to how her daily efforts did not even convince the decision-makers to be considered among the most well-maintained and richly-filled of all Facebook pages. I’m beginning to think that they might have been turned off by the constant battle with Thailand for number of likes that the actual contents Valerie worked hard for have been overlooked. I hope that’s not the case.
So before I get distracted any further, let me reiterate my sincere request to vote for Valerie as well as to encourage your friends, colleagues and family members to throw in the same effort if possible. :-)
