The first of our Binibini Face-Off series pits Kimverlyn Suiza VS Toni Alyessa Hipolito
Today, February 14, our Binibini Face-Off series begins with Kimverlyn Suiza and Toni Alyessa Hipolito being pitted against each other.
Binibini 8 and 6 used to belong to the same camp, until the latter bolted and went the KF way. But that’s not why I am placing them in a beauty match. Kim and Toni are comparable in more than a few ways than one. Both fair-skinned with features that can be classified as mestiza, they could actually be placed in one group in terms of looks. And if you actually see them speak in person, there is also a distinct similarity in the manner by which they publicly express themselves.
One difference could be the way their respective pageant careers have been plotted. Toni has been in more than a bit of a lull since her last Bb. Pilipinas stint, and her re-appearance this year caught some pageant enthusiasts off-guard. To be honest, I was expecting something sharply more dramatic in her comeback re-packaging. Something that would make me react with an instant wow. Don’t get me wrong, though. She remains as facially attractive as the first time she vied for the nationals.
Kim, on the other hand, has made progressive strides. From the time she won Miss Philippines Air 2013 as a gorgeous but bland lass, she crossed over to Bb. Pilipinas with marked improvements from her A&Q training. For 2015, she has definitely stepped up. Her attitude and styling took a 180-degree turn for the better.
So between the two, my vote would go for Binibini 8. ;-)
