And so we’re down to the 17th and last in our Binibini Face-Off series. This one is not necessarily a case of saving the best match for last. But after I reviewed all the sixteen (16) previous one-on-ones, the two remaining ladies still come from opposing beauty camps. We now reach full circle with a clash of candidates from Aces & Queens and Kagandahang Flores.
Binibini 15 Paula Rich Bartolome and Binibini 22 Anja-Vanessa Peter are two entirely different charmers. While the former is an all-Pinay challenger from Laguna, the one-time junior tennis darling is a mixed-race comer who is bringing her uniqueness to the table, sans previous non-pageant achievements.

Paula has a string of regional and national pageant experiences to lean on, while Anja is relying on her God-given talent for discipline and competitiveness.
Aura-wise, the Aces & Queens bet can be compared to a Victoria’s Secret scent – “… the whimsical, spring fragrance that lingers…” Meanwhile, the KF entry is like a Jo Malone EDT – “sandalwood and cedarwood seasoned with nutmeg and vibrant ginger…”
I will stop making all these comparisons. It’s time to score an ace.
