Roommates Megan and Michiko snacking earlier, unaware of the imminent danger surrounding the pageant in Bali.
With the breaking news about Miss World 2013 in Bali being potentially targetted by violent attacks from Muslim protests, what fate awaits the pageant which is scheduled to culminate in the crowning of a new winner on September 28?
Possible scenarios abound, with almost none of them providing a logistically doable alternative for the finals, other than staying put in Bali till everything wraps up.
Will the organizers hatch a last minute deal with a neighboring country, say Singapore for example, to have the candidates airlifted to the safer island republic where the coronation night can be staged just to get it over with and done? The cost of doing this can be staggering, but I see no other way for the Indonesian hosts to save face and honor…unless they beg for the protesters to let the pageant slide and have the finals in Bali without any attacks.
What other possibilities do you have in mind, dear readers?
