While a Miss Intercontinental 2nd Runner-Up placement, a Miss Universe Top 10 finish and a Miss Supranational Top 20 inclusion are not enough to please everyone, do keep in mind that 2014 was the Philippines’ Year of Representing Dangerously.
Our reigning titleholders were never amiss in their individual assignments. They followed their game plans as best as they could. If the sincere efforts did not yield the desired results, then it is already destiny speaking to us in bold letters. It still wasn’t time to either shine brighter or continue the streak or even achieve rare back-to-back feats.
I salute all of you, ladies!
The year wasn’t the kindest, but you still gave Filipinos reasons to be proud.
Prouder than most nations, I daresay. :-)
