Personally, Miss Earth 2011 Olga Alava is one of my three favorite Miss Earth winners to date (the two others are Catharina Svensson of Denmark and Priscilla Meirelles of Brazil). She has this very down-to-earth (no pun intended) and approachable vibe that continues to make people warm up to her quite easily. And knowing that she loves Asia more than anywhere else (outside her beloved Ecuador, of course), the reign she served for one full year was filled with so many wonderful memories, not to mention the cause-driven activities she took to heart.

Olga has been living a far more normal life in Guayaquil where she works at Almetal SA and does TV Presenting work for Ecuavisa‘s Gente. The good thing is that she continues to be a good role model for the environment, and keeps an air of positivity all throughout. You can check her Facebook page to find out what she has been up to.
