It is a rare occurence when all candidates in a pageant would perform their talents in front of a public audience. So it comes with some amusement that the thirty (30) candidates of Misters 2015 The Pageant did just that.

During last night’s Talent Show at the Fisher Mall, it was a battle of skills, artistry and sheer gifts. The five (5) Misters who got the highest scores from the judges ranged from the explosive violin-playing mastery of Earlmond Ross Lee of Olongapo City who delivered a virtuoso performance that prompted some of the judges to do a standing ovation. His turn was simply flawless. But not to be outdone, Rick Palencia of Tacloban dominated the runway with a fluid eagle-inspired tribal dance that cannot be missed. He also showed a lot of body agility that elicited loud applause from everyone. Third on the list is Siegfried Bauer of FilComm Germany who sang a Freddie Aguilar song (‘Bulag, Pipi at Bingi’) while simultaneously sketching the image of Jesus Christ. And then there is Robert Lopez of Angono who started with a sketching then segued into dance and punctuated his act by tumbling on his back to show the drawing of a face that helped show a cartoon-like demonstration of moves that gave more meaning to the message he wants to convey. Lastly, Jazzie Magne Vasquez of Makati City entered the stage dressed and acting like an old man only to turn himself into a gyrating hiphop dancer who exerted much effort in showing off his upbeat talent.

Bravo, Misters! I doff my hat to each one of you, including even those who missed the Top 5 cut by slim margins.

Onwards with the Gala Night of Misters 2015 The Pageant! :-D
