
They hit it off well instantly. Now, Casey and Bea Rose are good friends even after the competition.
Just like the close ties of roommates Miss World 2013 Megan Young and Michiko Tanaka of Japan during their time in Bali, Indonesia, Miss Philippines Bea Rose Santiago and Miss New Zealand Casey Radley have formed a sisterly bond that will go on long after Miss International 2013 is crowned tomorrow night in Tokyo.
When the two ladies first met more than a week ago, there was instant connection. It’s as if the organizers had some kind of sixth sense on who will click as roommates more than just having the common facility in the English language as basis for putting them together.
The friendship got even stronger the minute they discovered a common denominator between them – albeit it had something to do with death. They both lost a very close loved one to cancer. But beyond the dramatics, they were able to discover that the things they love doing most individually are also each other’s preferences, on top of loving Japan dearly.

Regardless of who wins or if one of them or both make it as winners, Bea Rose and Casey will remain close and in constant communication. And that is one of the sweetest things in beauty pageants that will always be cherished.
