It used to be breakfast in bed photos for the newly-crowned Miss Universe, with a tray of food in front of her and a telephone beside to call her loved ones overseas. For Pia Wurtzbach, it’s just an image inside her special suite at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, DIC crown on her head and wearing the hotel bathrobe. Nothing elaborately staged for the clicking cameras.
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach is lucky to be given the go-signal by the organizers to spend Christmas (or part of the Holiday break in Manila before she gets to travel to New York for her lockdown as the reigning winner. And if my vision of a victorious homecoming is to be relied upon, a grand parade awaits including a courtesy call in Malacañan Palace and endless Presscons to celebrate her win.
