We all know that – before winning the Miss Universe crown – Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach was living on her own here in Manila. It was tough, but the dream of winning the biggest crown in global beauty competitions kept her steadfast.
So it was such an emotional reunion for Queen P and her London-based mother Cheryl during this ongoing Homecoming. They missed each other so much that whatever free time is left in her busy schedule is spent with mother-daughter quality moments together.
By the time Miss Universe to San Francisco – where she will be Special Correspondent of Inside Edition for the Superbowl – and New York City – to resume daily duties as the reigning winner, they will miss these days of togetherness even more. But I’m pretty sure another reunion can always be scheduled in the upcoming months. After all, the flight from Heathrow to JFK doesn’t take that excruciatingly long (just under eight hours roughly). And then they can resume bonding time again. :-)
