Which crown will land on Yvethe’s hand by the end of next week?
Mention the name Yvethe and the cheers become so deafening it’s like the Charge of the Light Brigade has been set into motion all over again. And I raise no doubts whatsoever. The Unofficial Face of Bb. Pilipinas 2014, Binibini 35 knows that she is being looked at as the most popular contender but would rather keep all the positive hallelujahs at bay. The pressure is building up and she doesn’t want unnecessary additions to an already high level of expectations on her performance. In fact, she has avoided any direct social media interface so far. In a way, that has helped create a lingering air of mystery about her inspite of being virtually omnipresent in endless discussion threads and pageant blog sites.

So where can this gorgeous Albayana possibly go wrong? It looks to me that she has all the right moves intact so far and has very rarely slipped from the intensive learnings she acquired from Aces & Queens so far. Having been a studious academic performer during college has tremendously helped her cause in absorbing the complex demands and requirements of becoming a national beauty queen. And in a methodical way at that.

What’s next for Yvethe Marie Santiago? Window-shopping for the crown she is a perfect fit for? Nah. I’m sure she’s keeping a sharp eye on just one.
