Is India looking at winning its first Miss International crown via Jhataleka Malhotra?
Some pageant beginners might be surprised to know that India has never won a Miss International crown. In fact, the best results the South Asian nation has achieved in the Japan-based pageant are three (3) First Runner-Up placements in 1960, 1997 and 2003.
But all of that could change with the possible victory of their entry currently competing in Tokyo. Jhataleka Malhotra might not be as statuesque as other Miss Indias (standing only at 168cm), but she definitely makes up for it with an aura that translates to a sparkling presence wherever she goes. She moves with grace and smiles with undeniable charm. Will these descriptions win the heart of the Japanese and give her the crown that will be a nice addition to the already crowded collection of her country?
