The very first titleholder for the new title
Even before the coronation night took place last Sunday, Kris Tiffany Janson was already being buzzed as a guaranteed winner. It’s like one of the Five (5) crowns has already been earmarked for the taking of Binibini 13. And while everyone else focused on placing her in the direction of Bb. Pilipinas International, the people at BPCI clearly had something else in mind for the pretty Cebuana – a brand new title that would usher in her proclamation as the first-ever winner of Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental, aside from grabbing Miss Photogenic.

As our representative to Miss Intercontinental 2014, Kris will benefit from the meticulous preparations each beauty queen will receive en route to a relatively more hassle-free participation in the same. On the other hand, there could still be a number of gray areas where the game plan remains untested. This being the initial foray of a Bb. Pilipinas in the Germany-based pageant, there is no basis or precedence to hook her training on. The hit-or-miss factor will still be in play. At any rate, I have faith that she will do her homework much more than what the actual modules will impart.

In the level of expectations to come, she is one of two being given a clear shot at winning another big crown for the Philippines (with MJ Lastimosa as the other). And if the pieces will fit in the long run, grabbing our first Miss Intercontinental victory would serve to highlight her firm resolve to bring honor not only to the Filipinos in general, but her beloved Cebuanos in particular. :-)
